Successful 2016 SINGAPORE RENDEZVOUS oozes style
28 October, 2016
The 2016 inaugural edition of the SINGAPORE RENDEZVOUS closed on Sunday 23rd October with an Opera Dinner on the biggest tall ship in Asia, The Royal Albatross.
Four days of this unique luxury lifestyle event in a nautical environment were filled with entertainment, surprises and most importantly, vibrant interaction with both visitors and supporting partners.
As commented by the great majority of exhibitors, yacht dealers in particular, the innovative and interactive format of the show explains its success, thanks to a prominent luxury lifestyle element that drove new interests and qualified leads from an audience of High Net Worth Individuals.
For the first time in Singapore all key luxury lifestyle components were brought together – from properties, yachts, supercars, classic cars to watches, fashion, art, fine foods, wines and champagne. An affluent audience of 5,800 visitors had a chance to interact with carefully selected brands and broaden their interests during inspiring activities such as Leica photography workshops, deLaCour watch expert talks, Perrier-Jouet champagne workshop, Classic Car panel discussions and much more.
Raffles Marina, completely transformed with lights, art displays and photo opportunities, played host to this 4-day luxury lifestyle experience and ensured that all VIP guests and their families left the show with long lasting memories.
Among the yachting world’s highlights at the SINGAPORE RENDEZVOUS 2016 was the regional premiere of the Zeelander 44, under the management of Northrop & Johnson who also organized Asia’s annual gathering for Royal Huisman.
Another classic was the elegant Ron Holland Golden Opus (73 feet) presented by ProMarine. Finally, one of the few sporty composite sailing superyachts on the market today, S/Y Bliss (123 feet), was proudly showcased by Burgess.
Princess Yachts South East Asia was the biggest exhibitor of the show with four of its luxury yachts docked at Raffles Marina, including Princess 56, Princess 60, Princess 68 and Princess 80.
Fifteen leading property brands put on an inviting showcase of carefully selected developments from tropical waterfront projects in Malaysia (BRDB, UEM Sunrise), Thailand (Anamaya, Samujana, Glam Habitat) to urban projects in Australia (Central Equity, Little Projects) and exclusive projects in France (on the French Riviera, in Corsica and Brittany with Chateau Du Launay, a 53 hectare property with an equestrian center).
Super and Classic Cars Showcase
SINGAPORE RENDEZVOUS was also the venue for all things fast and powerful, with an entourage of supercars featuring a total of 56 luxury cars on parade at Raffles Marina. Starting with Lamborghini and its official super car display complimented by the Lamborghini club parade of 20 cars, the parades by the ExotiCar club, Driving Passion Porsche car club, the Ferrari car club and the Jaguar car club.
In addition, the event featured exciting classic cars, among others the 1959 Jaguar XK150 FHC, 1939 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe and 1966 Alfa Romeo 2600. Next year’s edition is promising many more iconic classic cars from the region.
The Best of Food and Beverage, and DJs!
Gastronomic highlights at the inaugural SINGAPORE RENDEZVOUS included the specially curated autumn Lounge by Perrier-Jouët, Opera Dinner by SingExperience and The Lifecycle Concepts – Coastal Lifestyle, a sunset bar complete with acoustic music, vintage cars, a Vespa display and a Somersby van. The experience was complete with the Wine & Spirits Social Marketplace by Épicurio, bringing their selected wines to the Épicurio Wine Fair.
During the event, HED KANDI DJs and their high-powered sound system ensured that the party was on in the vibrant JET Lounge sponsored by Jetcoin.
This successful inaugural event has set a benchmark and the SINGAPORE RENDEZVOUS team has already started planning for a bigger event next year with even more exciting showcases.
