Princess Yachts International are delighted to announce the creation of ‘Princess Yachts South East Asia’, incorporating a new partnership led by Princess Yachts Thailand, part of the Phuket Boat Lagoon Group of companies.

Princess Yachts South East Asia will amalgamate Boat Lagoon Yachting with offices in Malaysia led by Ms Shi Lin Oh and Mr Oh Kean Shen; operations in Singapore with Mr Alan Pickering; and sales and service facilities in Indonesia with Mr Kris Pramono.

To mark the launch of Princess Yachts South East Asia, Princess Yachts Thailand hosted a week long training and service seminar in Phuket. Owners, captains, engineers and service personnel from across South East Asia were invited to take part in courses and practical demonstrations by the service and engineering team from Princess Yachts International and key suppliers including Caterpillar, Sleipner and Opacmare amongst others. Attendees were also given the opportunity to sign up for the Princess Yachts South East Asia “Sea School” which will be headed up by resident RYA instructor Robert Hawkins.

The week culminated with a lavish cocktail reception held at the Phuket Boat Lagoon Marina, which played host to the largest ever gathering of Princess yachts in Asia. Guests enjoyed local Thai cuisine by the internationally celebrated Blue Elephant restaurant and sipped Moët while being entertained by a jazz band along with traditional Thai dance and drum performances.

Princess Yachts Chairman and founder David King attended the event and welcomed the representatives from Princess Yachts South East Asia to the Princess family with a traditional Asian gong striking custom.

Vrit Yongsakul, Managing Director of Princess Yachts South East Asia said, “We are delighted to have been part of the Princess family since 1994 when we bought our first Princess 66. The evening closed with a swimwear fashion show from Katalina Collection, Thailand’s leading distributor of international women’s swimwear, followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
