The Commodore’s Cup is organized by the Subic Bay Yacht Club and Lighthouse Marina, with support from Saturday Afternoon Gentlemen Sailors (SAGS), under the auspices of the Philippine Sailing Association.
The Commodore’s Cup includes four days of inshore racing in Subic Bay, a natural harbour protected from the China Sea.
Background
With the objective to promote the Philippines in the world of yachting, the Subic Bay Yacht Club initiated a 4-day inshore racing event called the Commodore’s Cup.
At Subic Bay Freeport there is a large marina with facilities for hauling out yachts, many hotels and restaurants, and the Filipinos’ legendary hospitality provides a warm welcome for visiting crews.
