Organised by the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club this event takes place early in the year.
The Royal Langkawi International Regatta includes the Prime Minister’s Challenge Trophy and the RLYC Commodore’s Cup for the Cruising Class.
Other IRC Classes will compete for the LADA-IRC Challenge Trophy and the Sports Boat Class for the Langkawi Sports Trophy.
Last but not least, there is also the Malaysian Multihull Challenge Cup for Multihulls.
Background
In 2012, The Royal Langkawi International Regatta celebrated its 10th anniversary and now entering its 12th year the Regatta is firmly established on the Asian Regattas calendar.
The objective is to provide both challenging and fun racing for all classes, irrespective of the design or vintage of yachts.
In the 11th Edition, 41 boats in ten classes competed with crews from all over the world.
